Weekend in review/road to recovery

I had a blast this past weekend! Friday afternoon, I flew out of New Orleans and arrived at Tucson in the evening. My cousin Daniel picked me up, and from there it was nothing but none-stop fun and family!!! For whatever reason, he (and a few others in my family) was determined to get me drunk. As a matter of fact Daniel said, prior to my arrival at Tucson, that he was going to have a cold one waiting for me, but then stopped and said with disappointment, "oh, nevermind, you don't drink anymore!" I chuckled and said, "for you and with you, I will have 'A' beer!" Of course from then on he truly was determined to see me smashed - as entertaining as he was, I'm sorry to say he failed. LOL. All in all, I had four beers this weekend... (Matt, sorry bro. - for those of you who do not know, Matt is my accountability partner).

Everything went very well! My cousin Kristina was absolutely gorgeous and many others in my family looked really, really nice. Visiting with my two nieces and my two nephews was (as always) awesome! I met my nephew Ryan for the first time, too! He is a spittin' image of my brother-in-law, Fabian; his sister, Isabella is a spittin' image of my sister Trish. And Alexis and David are both spittin' images of my sister Julie.

Leaving was a FIASCO!!! Here's the deal: as far as the school house here in Mississippi is concerned, they don't care where you go on the weekends as long as you are back for school on Monday morning, bright and early, 6am! Let me just say this... when I went to check in at 1230pm for my 130pm flight I was rejected for checking in TOO early... 24hours early!!!! The agent with whom my father made the flight arrangements messed up and had me leaving Tucson at 130pm, Monday afternoon!!! So how did it all work out? Too much to tell... suffice it to say that, $1,500 later, I made it back to Keesler AFB, Monday morning at 1:30A.M. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO YEAH!!! I FEEL WASTED!!! If only Daniel could see me now!
