I can't say that I didn't start watching the movie "Conversations with God" with much skepticism - and rightfully so. I have not, nor do I, plan on reading the book(s) as the movie adaptation was sufficient.
The movie was definitely heart stirring and I could see why the message is so captivating for those who are "soul-searching" and looking for ways to reconcile their world-view with that of God's; however, the "god" of Neale Donald Walsch as represented in this movie is clearly not the God of the bible. Walsch’s teachings are laced with monism (all is one and one is all), pantheism (all is God and God is all), and experience over words (doctrines).
I fear [for those not well rooted in the Gospel] the stealthy tactics of creative/deceptive men. The Bible warns that “false christs and false prophets” would arise, bringing deceptive signs and wonders to verify their false teachings (Matthew 24:24).

watched CwG recently, i appreciate the point that Neale Donald Walsch makes about having freedom to admit that he's not perfect so he can move on from where he is at that point... but, yes, there a lot of deceptive aspects of that movie
